COME AND WATCH THE DRAGSTER!

Sandy's Harley Davidson Sport Center Inc. has been supporting the sport of racing since the early 90's.  Sponsoring AMA Flat track riders, hill climbing and many motorcross events across the Western Michigan area.  In 2003 Sandy's Harley-Davidson started to do a little Drag Racing, what started out as just stopping down at Thunderbird Race Park in Muskegon, MI a couple Wednesday a month for a little bit of after work fun grew into much more as the year progressed.

In 2006 Harley-Davidson motor company introduced a race ready, V-Rod based Harley-Davidson Drag Bike called the DESTROYER!!  Harley-Davidson claimed the new V-Rod Destroyer would run low 10sec-9sec. in the 1/4 mile.  Having so much fun in the past years running a 2003 Dyna Superglide the Sandy's Harley-Davidson staff had to go to the track and have some fun and experience they will never forget!

Riding the V-Rod Destroyer is Service Manager Larry Tingley along with Salesman Josh Corley and crew service tech. Dave Hummel.  A lot of the 2006 season was based on figuring out the new beast.  In the first part of the season the bike was running 10.20 @ 136mph and every week it seamed to be getting a little faster and faster.

The best passes came at the end of the season.

Larry Tingley ran his best time at Stanton Michigan 9.636sec. @ 137.27

Josh Corley ran his best time at Thunderbird Race Park 9.625 @ 135.95
